Kamuno Team

The last interview with Regis provided insights into Kamuno's vision and goal. In this edition, the CEO of Kamuno answers questions about the corporate culture and reveals what is important when working together in the Kamuno team in order to master even challenging situations.

What characterizes Kamuno's corporate culture ?

We believe in an environment that promotes teamwork, transparency and open communication. This not only strengthens mutual trust, but also enables us to operate as an agile company that can react quickly to new ideas and changes. And I try to actively promote this.

What is important when working together in the Kamuno team?

Especially during the development of Kamuno, i.e. in the very hectic times, there were some moments of high pressure and tension between individuals. In such situations, it is essential that each individual remains humble and open to the different working methods of others. If we don't manage to take a step back as individuals and as a team and make room for differences, we won't be able to achieve the Kamuno vision together. I usually try to convince everyone in the team that they can assume that every team member is doing their best. I am convinced that if you are able to put yourself in the shoes of others before reacting to a situation, then you are able to hear and understand the challenges of other people. If everyone can do that, then together you reach a point where you can become a highly effective team.

The challenge is always that we inherently assume that we are in the right. However, it is often just a question of perspective.

How did you put the Kamuno team what were the challenges?

In order to build up Kamuno and, more importantly, to make it a lasting success, a number of elements have to come together.

The most important thing is a team of highly committed, smart people with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoy building something new.

People with the right experience and skills also have private responsibilities, children or families. They have a lot to offer, but they can't risk their stable income to take on a project like Kamuno with a crazy Alsatian like me.

So it was clear that if I wanted to have top people, I had to offer my employees a certain degree of financial security in addition to an exciting, challenging job when founding a start-up.

I am very pleased to have found an innovative bank in UKB, namely CFO Urs Eichenberger, CEO Christoph Bugnon, Bank Council Chairman Heini Sommer, the Executive Board and the Bank Council with the support of the Cantonal Council, which is looking for sustainable investment opportunities in growth areas such as SME financing and understands the challenges we face.

Thanks to their location, history and stability, UKB and the canton offer this security, which is crucial for Kamuno's medium-term success.

This financial security helps a young company to attract top people and bring their outstanding skills into the company.

How does the team shape Kamuno's success and growth in the financial sector?

Our team is crucial to Kamuno's long-term success - especially in the financial sector, which is characterized by its high level of dynamism and complexity. For us, success is not just in the numbers, but above all in the creativity, expertise and commitment of our employees - the Kamuno team.

In a young company, especially in the financial sector, it is all about developing new solutions, managing risks and building trust - all things that we could not achieve without our motivated specialists and the right amount of humility and curiosity. The team makes Kamuno Kamuno.
