What is a beneficial owner?

We are legally required to identify the owners of a company applying for a loan. These owners are referred to as `beneficial owners`. This includes all individuals who hold at least 25% of the company’s shares.
If the applicant company is owned by another company, we must also identify the beneficial owners of that parent company.
